Broken Reflection

Hello there cursed self?
How are you inner man?
How are you fairing on?
How is your betrayed self?

Please don't tell me you regret,
Don't even tell me you blame fate,
Didn't I tell you?
Over and over,
And over!
straight from the horses mouth,
Didn't you hear my words echo?
Over and over,
And over!
Echo within the walls of your head,
when your fecund mind,
was still sound
And free from corrupted feels,
Didn't you listen
To the words I engraved in heart
With ink that blotted
a thousand reasons out?

But Oh!
I forgot to remember,
That your heart's traffic
Fooled by a witty trick
Is gullible and ready
To switch amber,
And give a thoughtless consent
To what you see,
As an opportune moment
To carelessly give your pieces out,
Hoping that the bearer,
Will hold every little piece together
Don't you know that
We live in a world,
Where hands are weary to hold
Full of broken people
Who yearn to break,
Your broken pieces?

What hurts me most,
And pierces my peace the most
Is that you trusted another soul,
And betrayed yours
Yours own soul,
That you did not see
See the words I imprinted on brain,
Words warning you of unwary love
The type that blossoms
When the sun rises,
When dawn draws nigh
The type that withers,
When the sun sets
When night draws nigh
And brings back with it a thousand migraines,
Even when no love was lost

What hurts me most,
And pierces my peace the most
Is that you urged me to press on,
Even when
You bled under her oppression,

And now when I look askance,
Into the broken mirror,
Is a hazy mirage,
Over the broken reflection
Of what I once was before,
Before I was lied to
With pleasant words,
With words that obscured vision
And blotted sights to silhouettes
With pleasant words,
that obstructed reason
And blinded me to fake insights

Is this really me
is it?
Because what I see
Is a broken man,
More broken
Than his broken reflection!
